Endemic to Cyprus
Amphipoda
Family Talitridae
A semi-terrestrial amphipod of the family Talitridae . This species was described by Heller (as Orchestia cavimana) based on specimens found in a spring at "Mount Olympus (Troodos Mountains)" in Cyprus, at 1250 m a.s.l. As far as we know, it's endemic to the island. Other species of Talitridae are probably present in Cyprus, but they are all litoral marine species.
