The shell size varies between 35 mm and 75 mm
This species is found in the Mediterranean Sea along Greece, in the Arabian Sea and the Persian Gulf
Lessepsian migration (also called Erythrean invasion) is the ongoing migration of marine species across the Suez Canal, usually from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, more rarely in the opposite direction.
