Το φυσικό αυτό υβρίδιο του γένους Ophrys εντοπίστηκε από τον Sami Tamson κοντά στο Καπούτι της Κύπρου. Στην περιοχή καταγράφηκαν περίπου πέντε έως οκτώ φυτά, τα οποία φύονταν μέσα σε πευκοδάσος, κοντά σε ανοικτές εκτάσεις με ιδιαίτερα πλούσια παρουσία άγριων ορχιδέων.

Χωρίς ασφαλή προσδιορισμό των δύο γονικών ειδών, το φυτό πρέπει να αναφέρεται απλώς ως φυσικό υβρίδιο Ophrys, χωρίς αυθαίρετη επιστημονική ονομασία.

Natural Ophrys Hybrid near Kapouti – Cyprus

This natural hybrid of the genus Ophrys was found by Sami Tamson near Kapouti, Cyprus. Approximately five to eight plants were recorded, growing in a pine forest close to open ground exceptionally rich in wild orchids.

Without a reliable identification of the two parent species, the plant should be recorded simply as a natural Ophrys hybrid, without assigning it an unsupported scientific name.
