Ένα φωτογραφικό ταξίδι στον συναρπαστικό κόσμο των ερπετών και των αμφιβίων της Κύπρου μέσα από 323 φωτογραφίες.
Το βίντεο παρουσιάζει φίδια, σαύρες, χελώνες, βατράχους και άλλα είδη που απαντώνται στο νησί, φωτογραφημένα στο φυσικό τους περιβάλλον. Κάθε εικόνα αποτελεί μέρος της πολυετούς προσπάθειάς μου να μελετήσω και να καταγράψω την άγρια ζωή και τη βιοποικιλότητα της Κύπρου.
Τα ερπετά και τα αμφίβια αποτελούν σημαντικό τμήμα των φυσικών οικοσυστημάτων. Συμβάλλουν στη διατήρηση της οικολογικής ισορροπίας, ενώ παράλληλα αποτελούν τροφή για πολλά άλλα ζώα. Παρά τον φόβο και τις λανθασμένες αντιλήψεις που συχνά τα περιβάλλουν, τα περισσότερα είδη είναι ακίνδυνα για τον άνθρωπο και χρειάζονται σεβασμό και προστασία.
Μέσα από αυτές τις φωτογραφίες μπορούμε να γνωρίσουμε καλύτερα τα ερπετά και τα αμφίβια του τόπου μας, να εκτιμήσουμε την ομορφιά και την ποικιλομορφία τους και να κατανοήσουμε τη σημασία της προστασίας των βιοτόπων στους οποίους ζουν.

323 Photographs of the Reptiles and Amphibians of Cyprus

A photographic journey into the fascinating world of the reptiles and amphibians of Cyprus through 323 photographs.
The video presents snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs and other species found on the island, photographed in their natural habitats. Each image forms part of my many years of work studying and documenting the wildlife and biodiversity of Cyprus.
Reptiles and amphibians form an important part of natural ecosystems. They contribute to maintaining the ecological balance while also providing food for many other animals. Despite the fear and misconceptions that often surround them, most species are harmless to humans and deserve respect and protection.
Through these photographs, we can become better acquainted with the reptiles and amphibians of our island, appreciate their beauty and diversity, and understand the importance of protecting the habitats in which they live.
