Γιατί η επόμενη ολική έκλειψη θα γίνει το 2088 και μάλλον δεν την προλαβαίνουμε.

Το εντυπωσιακό φυσικό φαινόμενο της ολικής έκλειψης ηλίου το οποίο πραγματοποιήθηκε χθες 21 Αυγούστου, ήταν ορατή από ολόκληρη τη βόρειο Αμερική, Βραζιλία, Ατλαντικό Ωκεανό, Μεγάλη Βρετανία, Ισπανία και μέρος της Δυτικής Αφρικής και φυσικά αόρατη από την Κύπρο.

Παρόλα αυτά ο Γιώργος Κωνσταντίνου Πρόεδρος του Συνδέσμου Προστασίας Φυσικής Κληρονομιάς και Βιοποικιλότητας της Κύπρου κατάφερε να απολαύσει το μοναδικό αυτό φαινόμενο μέσα από live camera που είχε τοποθετηθεί στο Oregon, και να εξασφαλίσει 12 καρέ από την μετατροπή της μέρας σε βράδυ, τις οποίες μοιράστηκε με τη CITY κι εμείς στη συνέχεια μοιραζόμαστε μαζί σας!

Because the next total eclipse will occur in 2088, and we probably will not live to see it.

The impressive natural phenomenon of the total solar eclipse, which occurred yesterday, 21 August, was visible across North America, Brazil, the Atlantic Ocean, Great Britain, Spain and part of West Africa, but was naturally not visible from Cyprus.

Nevertheless, George Konstantinou, President of the Association for the Protection of the Natural Heritage and Biodiversity of Cyprus, managed to enjoy this unique phenomenon through a live camera installed in Oregon. He captured 12 frames showing daylight turning into darkness and shared them with CITY, which in turn is sharing them with you.
