. They live in many areas, including steppes, mountainous areas, semi-deserts, and urban areas. They comprise at least 12 major evolutionary lineages, and there are variations in the colors and patterns of these toads across their range. The spots on their backs are usually anything from green to dark brown and sometimes red spots appear, too. Most toads have white or very lightly colored stomachs. Cyprus Green Toad will change their colour in response to heat and light changes, but to a greater degree than others. Female toads are larger than males and can lay 9,000 to 15,000 eggs at a time. They can reach a maximum size of 6 inches, but growth to this size is rare. The toads eat a variety of insects and invertebrates, mainly cricketsmeal worms, small butterfliesearthwormsmothsbeetles and caterpillars.European green toads require minimal care space. Like other toads, enjoy hiding and should be provided with decor to allow for this.Peat moss is another great accent to their environment, as it not only provides a hiding space but also helps keep humidity levels up.

Levant water frog - Pelophylax bedriagae (Camerano, 1882) - Βαλτόβιος Βάτραχος - Cyprus

formerly belonging to the genus Rana, is a southern European species of frog. They are green to brown in color with dark blotches on their dorsal side. They are cousins of the aquatic frogs and live most of the time in the water. They are not poisonous and are quite large, especially the females. It has been introduced in some countries were it was not native, one of which is Malta. First kept as a pet, then recently during the 1990s, it was deliberately introduced to a number of fresh water rock pools in Gozo, where in one it sustains a large population. Though a prolific and invasive species, it is restricted to constant fresh water supply, so it cannot spread naturally on its own on arid Mediterranean islandsFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
